Timothy Farrell was elected to the Pierce County Council in 2005. His council priorities include maintaining our social-services network, farmland preservation and economic development. Prior to being elected, he was chief of staff to state Senator Jim Kastama (D-Puyallup) in Olympia. Farrell holds a Master of Business Administration from California Polytechnic University.

Farrell has been active with Eastside Women for Women's Health, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Bryant Neighbors, St. Leo's Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of Elks BPOE 174. He is a former chair of the Tacoma Planning Commission and a former member of the North End Neighborhood Council. He is a member of the Community Development Committee, Vice Chair of the Public Safety and Human Services Committee, an Alternate of the Rules and Operations Committee and is a member of many other external boards and commissions.
