Post Date:04/15/2015 2:11 PM

Workforce Central, on behalf of the Workforce Development Council of Pierce County is recruiting potential volunteers to serve on the Workforce Development Council committees.  There are four committees and community members or organizational representatives may apply to be considered for one or more of the committees. The recent restructure of the WDC and now the creation of these committees is all part of the transition from the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998 to the Workforce Innovations and Opportunity Act which goes into effect July 1, 2015. More information about WIOA along with Job description and meeting times are available on our website so that potential volunteers can learn more about the upcoming work that the committees will do and when the committees will be meeting. The four committees are Business Services, Adult Services, Youth and Family Services and the One Stop Operator(s)and Partners Committee. Applications will be reviewed on a first come first service basis.

We reserve the right to close the acceptance of applications at any time without notice.
